snap kitchen: healthy meal delivery made easy
Anyone else feel like they are nonstop shopping for, prepping, and cooking meals then having to clean up, after all that?? I feel like it never ever ends. Between making Asher homemade food and trying to feed myself something occasionally as well, it can get very time consuming. That’s why I have absolutely loved using with Snap Kitchen. ⠀

about snap kitchen
Snap Kitchen's mission is to provide “healthy food for busy people." in addiction to meal delivery, they also have several retail stores, mostly in texas, as well as in-store partnerships with Whole Foods in a number of other states. the company specializes in offering healthy, easy meals and unlike most other meal delivery services they have kept, high protein, low carb, and whole 30 options so it’s prefect for anyone interested in fitness or clean eating. food-as-fuel. plus, the meals taste awesome. you’d never know you were eating so clean.
how it works
it is indeed a snap! the subscription service is very straightforward. simply choose a plan, pick your meals for the upcoming week, then check out. they also have an app which makes it easy to choose your meals each week, and not forget to do so. you can pick either monday or wednesday delivery. i like to do monday’s. i feel that usually the meals last longer, plus the whole benefit of this service to me is convenient weekday meals. usually we try to go out to eat at least once on the weekend, so monday’s make the most sense for us. also, all the meals from snap kitchen are single serve.
Next, select your dietary preferences. there are five choice’s available: balance, low carb, high protein, keto-friendly, and "total custom," which means that you’ll pick your own meal choices each week. i always do total custom so i can choose which meals i want. they also have keto and whole friendly options that you can choose in the totally custom option. plus all of their meals are gluten free, and fully cooked. Each meal contains about 10 to 12 ounces of food, usually ranging between around 300 and 600 calories.
You can choose your meals in two different ways: either go with Snap Kitchen's choices, which they choose for you based on which plan you pick; or you can make your own selections. no matter which route you choose, six days before your scheduled delivery date your order will be "locked," which means you can’t change your selections for that week anymore.
snap kitchen typically focuses on lunch and dinner meals but they usually do have a couple breakfast options available. also it’s worth noting, snap kitchen doesn’t offer customization of the actual meals.
keep in mind that this is meant to be food as fuel. geared towards providing clean, convenient, simple and healthy meals. so don’t expect to be blown away by super intense or creative meal options. but usually the menu has a decent amount of diversity, such as mediterranean, mexican, american, asian, and indian options.
here’s what i think
snap kitchen has dietitian-curated, pre-prepared healthy meals for keto, Whole30, paleo, high protein, vegetarian, low carb, or you can build your own! You just heat in the microwave or oven and eat. So easy, clean, and the meals taste incredible. Unlike other meal prep services I’ve tried, these meals actually fill me up. Plus i don’t have to chop veggies or cook anything, they’re ready to heat then eat! So easy.
one thing that has worked well for our family is that each meal is single serve. so everyone can eat whatever they’re in the mood for and i don’t have to cook something separate for my picky toddler. and we don’t end up wasting a bunch of food he won’t eat.
Snap Kitchen meal plans are convenient, take away all the prep, guesswork, and waste, and are shipped directly to your door. You can swap any meals or skip a week depending on your schedule. It’s a no brainer!
they typically have salmon, beef, chicken, bison, turkey, shrimp options. you might be thinking, eh i’m not sure about pre-cooked, microwaved salmon. but i’m here to tell you, it’s actually really good. i was skeptical at first, but in my opinion they nailed it.
